Extensions Care Guide

Frequency:
Maintenance for extensions is recommended every 6-8 weeks. Clients with finer hair may need more frequent visits, typically every 5-6 weeks. During these appointments, your extensions will be removed, hair and extensions refreshed with color, necessary treatments applied, ends & extensions dusted, followed by re-installation, styling, and photos.

Washing:

Wash your hair 2-3 times per week using cool water.
Perform a double cleanse to remove product buildup and excess oils, paying attention to scrubbing between your rows.
Washing hair in sections can aid in thorough cleaning.
Utilize a mask or deep conditioner for added nourishment.

Drying:

Ensure thorough drying of both your natural hair and extensions.
Blow-dry roots of extensions at the very least to prevent tangling and matting.
Sleeping with Wet Hair:

Hair should be fully dry before bedtime.
Opt for protective styles such as loose braids, low ponytails, or wave rods to prevent tangling and matting.
Silk pillowcases can help maintain hair quality.

Swimming:

Avoid swimming with extensions to preserve quality.
If swimming is necessary, brush hair before entering water, apply leave-in conditioner or mask, and braid hair(s).
Rinse, wash,  and brush hair immediately after swimming.

Sunscreen:

Avoid sunscreens containing avobenzone to prevent discoloration of extensions. You'll find that this can leave a pinkish/peach hue on your wefts.
Mineral-based sunscreens are preferable.
Consider braiding or pulling back hair and washing hands promptly after applying sunscreen.
